Integratedliving - Senior Workplace Relations Lead Senior ER/IR leadership role in a national Centre of Excellence Lead enterprise bargaining, complex case management & investigations Home‑based, agile role with the freedom to travel as needed, working in close partnership with the Chief People Officer Overview Provide expert ER/IR leadership, partnering with senior leaders to deliver compliant, future-focused workplace relations outcomes. The People Unit plays a critical role in enabling performance, safety and wellbeing by building capability, shaping culture and delivering an exceptional employee experience aligned to our purpose and values. Through contemporary policies, clear frameworks and practical coaching, the People Unit promotes fair and consistent people practices, reinforces accountability and supports leaders to navigate complex workplace matters with confidence. It partners closely with leaders to plan for a sustainable workforce, attract and retain the right people, and ensure they have the skills, tools and support to succeed in their roles. The opportunity Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Senior Workplace Relations Lead operates as part of an ER/IR Centre of Excellence, providing expert advice and leadership across the organisation. This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility for both strategic and operational workplace relations matters. This is a flexible, home based role offering autonomy and worklife balance, with travel to key sites and stakeholder meetings as required to support leaders across our national footprint Key responsibilities include:
- Leading complex workplace relations case management, investigations and grievances
- Providing expert advice on disciplinary processes, terminations and compliance
- Leading enterprise bargaining processes end-to-end and union negotiations
- Representing the organisation in tribunals, conciliation and conferences
- Drafting notices, pleadings and managing employment-related litigation
- Developing and embedding workplace relations frameworks, policies and tools
- Coaching and upskilling People Partners and leaders in ER best practice
- Monitoring legislative changes and advising on impacts to the organisation
About you You are a confident and credible workplace relations specialist who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and enjoys partnering with senior leaders. You bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable balancing risk, compliance and commercial outcomes. You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law or a related HR discipline
- Significant experience in senior ER/IR or workplace relations roles, ideally within complex, multi‑site environments, whether in health, aged care and community services or similarly regulated sectors
- Proven experience leading enterprise bargaining and union negotiations in complex environments
- Strong experience managing investigations, disputes and tribunal matters
- Ability to influence and partner with Executive and Senior Leaders
- Excellent coaching, communication and stakeholder management skills, with high emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust, navigate sensitive issues and positively influence culture across all levels of the organisation.
- A legal practising certificate (highly desirable but not essential)
