About The Role

The Environmental Graphic Designer II at CannonDesign is a creative professional passionate about solving design challenges and delivering extraordinary work with optimism and empathy. In this role, you will collaborate with renowned global brands across diverse environments such as commercial workplaces, healthcare facilities, and sports venues to reimagine how their identities come to life. You will partner with talented interior designers and architects, elevating spaces into memorable experiences that inspire and connect people within the built environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals fueled by curiosity, equipped with technical skills, and dedicated to transforming concepts into remarkable environments. As part of our Experiential Graphic Design team, you will influence all phases of the design process, from concept development to artwork production, ensuring the delivery of highly detailed and creative solutions that align with client visions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Architecture, or related design field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in environmental or experiential graphic design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse design projects across various markets
  • Proficiency in typography and visual communication
  • Experience in 3-dimensional design, wayfinding, exhibit design, and environments
  • Knowledge of all phases of the design process, from concept to fabrication
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) on Mac; Revit and SketchUp skills are a plus
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Participate in all phases of the design process, from concept development through artwork production
  • Translate client needs and ideas into compelling visual concepts that communicate their mission and purpose
  • Support project execution from initial storyboard to final design and production
  • Use curiosity, empathy, and intuition to clarify complex ideas, visions, and strategies
  • Design creative, highly detailed solutions across all media types, including graphics, signage, and exhibits
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for graphic programs, wayfinding systems, donor recognition, and interpretive exhibits
  • Produce camera-ready artwork suitable for fabrication and installation
  • Engage actively in team discussions, critiques, and collaborative workflows
  • Prepare visualizations and mockups of signage and graphic content on digital models
  • Collaborate closely with design leaders and project teams to ensure design integrity and project success
