1. About Our Client:
The organization operates within the healthcare sector, managing financial operations for multiple clinics and family office services. It addresses the complexities of financial transaction processing, billing, and cash management in a multi-entity environment, ensuring accurate and timely accounting functions across various departments.
2. About the Opportunity:
The Accounting Assistant role is designed to support the Finance team by handling daily transactional accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. This position contributes to maintaining accurate financial records and reporting, supporting cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, all within a remote work setting.
3. Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices and maintain vendor records
• Assist with payment processing and coding
• Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly invoices
• Support accounts receivable tracking and reconciliation
• Record and reconcile daily cash receipts across multiple locations
• Communicate weekly bank balances to finance leadership
• Allocate and reconcile company credit card transactions
• Post third-party payments in the EHR system and collaborate on discrepancies
• Prepare and file annual 1099s and assist with audit support
• Compile and distribute weekly financial reports
• Support ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
4. Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (AP, AR, cash applications)
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workflows
• Residency in Rhode Island or Massachusetts
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare or multi-location accounting, familiarity with EHR systems, 1099 preparation, and CAM billing
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually
