About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not do flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another. We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything, the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos, when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a senior team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends. When something breaks, we are the ones who answer the phone and fix it.
The Role
In this role, your primary task is to coordinate the data needs for our partner in Berlin and other clients. This involves moving data between systems, checking for errors after a migration, and setting up basic reports that track operational metrics. You will not be expected to build complex algorithms. Instead, you will be making sure that the data in a warehouse management system matches what is showing up in the client dashboard. A typical week might involve documenting a new data schema, running basic queries to verify information, or helping our developers understand how a client currently uses their Excel files so we can digitize that process correctly. This is a fully remote position that requires careful attention to the small details that keep a business running smoothly.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is naturally organized and likes to see information properly categorized. You should have a basic understanding of how data is structured and feel comfortable working with large sets of information in spreadsheets or simple databases. Since this is an entry level role, we value your ability to learn and your attention to detail more than years of professional experience. You need to be a clear writer who can explain technical issues in plain English. Because we work remotely, being able to communicate effectively through text and documentation is essential. You should be someone who enjoys the satisfaction of finding and fixing a small error in a data set that others might have missed.
Helpful Background
- Basic familiarity with SQL and how relational databases like Postgres work.
- Experience using spreadsheets for more than just lists, such as using functions to organize or clean data.
- A basic understanding of what an API is and how different software tools share information.
- Any experience with version control tools like GitHub, even for personal or school projects.
- Familiarity with business tools like Airtable, Zendesk, or various CRM platforms.
- Comfortable using remote communication tools to stay in touch with a distributed team.
- A background in a field like business operations, math, or computer science can be helpful but is not required.
Working here means focusing on the work itself rather than office politics or long meetings. We are a flat organization where everyone is expected to contribute and take ownership of their tasks. You will be working directly with experienced developers who value clarity and stability over flashy features. Our culture is built on being reliable for our clients and for each other. We provide a full-time, permanent position with a pay structure that is attractive and competitive for the current market. Because we are remote, you have the flexibility to manage your own workspace while staying connected to a team that values your input and supports your professional growth.
At Pixel Systems, we take pride in building software that solves boring problems. We know that a well-functioning database or a clear admin panel can save a client hours of frustration every week. We look for people who share that perspective and want to build things that are useful and durable. We keep our team small so that everyone knows exactly how their work contributes to the success of a project. If you prefer a straightforward, practical approach to technology and want to start your career in an environment that values quality over hype, you will fit in well here.
