Mosaic Conseil operates as a small, remote workshop dedicated to rebuilding business artifacts one at a time. We do not produce slide decks and we do not work on standing retainers. Instead, we take apart three year plans, pricing grids, and diligence files to put them back together against the evidence of the invoice ledger. This work is focused and personal. Every file we produce carries two names: one person who builds and one who argues against what was built. This process ensures that every assumption is tested before a file closes and is returned to the client as a redrawn artifact supported by a written argument. We are currently applying this methodology to a major Spanish financial services group that is central to our current project list.

What you would do
As a Data Analyst Assistant, you will support the reconstruction of complex financial models and data sets. A major Spanish financial services group is central to our current workload, and you will be tasked with cleaning their raw transaction logs and reconciling them against ledger entries. You will look for the gaps where the evidence does not match the narrative. This is not about creating pretty charts: it is about ensuring the integrity of the data that builds the argument. You will assist in rebuilding spreadsheets from the ground up, verifying every formula, and documenting the logic behind every step. You will also participate in our builder and challenger process, helping to find the weak points in a model before it is finalized.

Helpful background
We are looking for someone with a high degree of comfort around numbers and a basic understanding of data structures. You should be familiar with the fundamentals of spreadsheet software and have a working knowledge of how to organize information logically. Experience with SQL or basic data manipulation tools is helpful but not strictly required if you have a strong analytical mind. We value intellectual curiosity and the ability to write clear, plain English. You do not need years of professional experience for this role, as it is an entry level position. What you do need is the patience to sit with a data set until you understand what it is telling you and the honesty to admit when a number does not add up.

How we work
Our workshop is 100 percent remote, which allows us to prioritize deep work over corporate theater. We do not have an office and we do not spend time in unnecessary meetings. Instead, we use written communication to document our findings and telephone calls to discuss specific problems. In this role, you will work closely with a lead analyst. You will often be the one gathering the evidence while they build the model, or you might build a specific component while they challenge your assumptions. We work on a few high stakes projects at a time, ensuring that every artifact we return to a client is as close to perfect as we can make it.
