Job Purpose: The HR Specialist plays a critical administrative support role within the Human Resources team, helping to ensure accurate documentation, organized workflows, and a smooth employee experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone newer to the HR field to grow into a well-rounded HR professional over time, gaining exposure to all functional areas of HR. Essential Functions:

  • Provide administrative support across HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, Leave of Absences, Unemployment, worker’s compensation, and employee file management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Track and organize HR documentation such as I-9s, background checks, offer letters, and policy acknowledgments
  • Prepare reports, forms, and templates as needed
  • Support benefits enrollment by distributing materials and helping answer employee questions
  • Schedule meetings, trainings, and check-ins for the HR team and leadership
  • Respond to basic employee questions and route more complex issues appropriately
  • Assist with new hire orientation logistics and documentation
  • Support ongoing projects in areas like employee engagement, performance reviews, and compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of administrative or HR experience
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfort working independently in a remote setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google Workspace

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR internship or coursework in human resources
  • Experience supporting teams in AZ or CO
  • Interest in growing a career in Human Resources
