We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead complex aerospace programs from concept through delivery. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring alignment with technical requirements, regulatory standards, budget constraints, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace or defense industries and a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management for aerospace programs, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and compliance
- Ensure adherence to aerospace standards, safety regulations, and certification requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA)
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; implement contingency plans as needed
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications
- Oversee vendor and supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of components and services
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and product quality
- Ensure proper documentation and configuration control throughout the project lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in aerospace, aviation, or defense industries
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or similar)
- Experience with aerospace regulations and certification processes
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
