Role Description This part-time remote HR Manager role focuses on providing strategic and operational HR support to teams across the ministry. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing recruitment processes, supporting onboarding and employee integration, and advising managers on HR policies and labor regulations. The HR Manager will develop and update HR guidelines, assist with performance management frameworks, and contribute to initiatives that foster employee engagement and professional development. The role also includes maintaining accurate HR records, coordinating with payroll and administration, and partnering with leadership on workforce planning and organizational change. Collaboration with internal stakeholders, clear communication, and confidentiality are key aspects of the position.
Qualifications
- Strong HR management skills, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
- Knowledge of labor law, public-sector regulations, and HR policies relevant to the German context.
- Ability to develop and implement HR processes, guidelines, and documentation in a structured and compliant manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise managers and support employees at all levels.
- Experience with HR information systems and basic proficiency in MS Office or equivalent productivity tools.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to fair, inclusive, and non-discriminatory HR practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Relevant degree or vocational qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field; comparable experience in HR may also be considered.
- Fluency in German and good written and verbal communication skills in English are highly beneficial.
