About Winston Gray
Winston Gray Consulting is a boutique business transformation firm helping founder-led and mid-market companies gain clarity, control, and structure as they scale.
We diagnose, design, and deliver operational improvement that simplifies complexity and drives performance.
Our Culture & Way of Working
At Winston Gray, we believe good work starts with trust and curiosity.
We’re a remote-first, outcomes-driven consultancy built on flexibility, learning, and collaboration.
You’ll work with a network of experienced professionals who share knowledge openly, celebrate wins, and value craftsmanship in delivery.
We support continuous learning through exposure to diverse industries, access to Lean Six Sigma and Agile accreditation pathways, and opportunities to grow from specialist to partner.
In short: you’ll have the freedom to work how and where you perform best, with the backing of a team that’s invested in your professional growth.
The Role
As a Business Transformation Manager, you’ll take a lead role in diagnosing issues, designing future-state processes, and delivering tangible improvements across operations, people, and systems.
You’ll work directly with business owners and senior stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, implement structured solutions, and embed sustainable ways of working.
This is a hands-on delivery role that combines analytical thinking, process design, and change leadership. Ideal for senior operators, product owners, or transformation leads who excel at making change happen.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify issues and hotspots, build problem statements, and diagnose root causes.
- Redesign processes using process engineering to eliminate duplication, inefficiency, and manual handling.
- Define and create process maps (current and future state) in readiness to deliver business transformation.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, or similar frameworks to diagnose, design, and implement structured change.
- Create and execute detailed delivery plans, Gantt charts, or roadmaps for client transparency and accountability.
- Build or refine process documentation, SOPs, and dashboards to standardise and sustain improvements.
- Lead workshops and cross-functional sessions (as required) to capture insights and align stakeholders.
- Report on progress, risks, and performance metrics to business owners and the Winston Gray Director.
- Support the Director in project leadership, quality assurance, and client relationship management.Skills & Experience
- 3+ years in operations, transformation, or continuous improvement roles.
- Proven experience delivering structured change – not just identifying it.
- Strong analytical, process design, and problem-solving capability.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, ADKAR, or Agile.
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
- Confidence working independently within client environments while representing the Winston Gray brand.
Who You Are
You’re a practical strategist who enjoys solving real problems.
You think like a consultant but deliver like an operator and comfortable moving from mapping processes to driving implementation.
You’re structured, detail-oriented, and confident facilitating discussions that bring clarity and direction to complex situations.
Contract Details
- $700 per day (flat rate)
- Remote-first with occasional on-site client visits for workshops, training or travel
- Typical engagements 6–12 weeks per client project
