Youtube Video Editor

We’re looking for a talented Video Editor to join our rapidly growing YouTube channel with over 1 million subscribers. You’ll take raw footage (1–2 hours per episode) and turn it into polished, entertaining videos (20–60 minutes) with rapid turnarounds (2–2.5 weeks) and multiple rounds of feedback. Ideally you’re based in Australia (or deeply familiar with Aussie humour), love comedy, and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit & Deliver: Transform 1–2 hours of raw multicam footage into 20–60 minute videos, meeting deadlines with 2–2.5 week turnarounds.
• Feedback & Revisions: Implement several rounds of notes quickly and accurately.
• Storytelling & Sound Design: Craft compelling narratives, balance pacing, and integrate music and sound effects to maximise viewer engagement.
• Motion Graphics & AE: Build basic graphics and lower-thirds in After Effects as needed.
• Technical Workflow: Organise assets, manage project files in Premiere Pro, perform final export checks, and deliver broadcast-ready masters for YouTube.
• Collaboration & Communication: Proactively update producers on progress, flag any issues early, and brainstorm ideas to boost virality.

Ideal Candidate

• Proven YouTube Experience: 3+ years editing long-form content for large channels or known creators, with a portfolio of high-view‐count videos.
• Viral Savvy: Deep understanding of YouTube trends and what makes content shareable.
• Comedy & Cultural Fit: Strong comedic sense and familiarity with Australian humour and pop-culture references.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert in Premiere Pro; solid skills in After Effects, multicam editing, sound design, and music syncing.
• Deadline-Driven: Reliable, organized, and able to thrive under tight timelines in a rapidly growing team.
