About the role

Join The Cookware Company – Where Innovation Meets Flavor! At The Cookware Company, we’re not just making cookware—we’re changing the way the world cooks! Ready to cook up something amazing with us? Let’s make kitchen magic together!

We're seeking a hands-on Senior UX/UI Designer with ecommerce experience to improve our omnichannel customer experience across multiple brands and countries. You will combine strong visual design with research, analytics, and commercial judgment to help customers discover products, buy confidently, and return to our brands.

You will turn functional requirements and customer problems into thoughtful, practical designs. Working closely with our ecommerce, development, brand, marketing, and customer service teams, you will research solutions, explain your recommendations, and stay involved through implementation and iteration.

This role focuses on digital experience design within established brand standards. We value someone who works independently, shares useful work early, responds constructively to feedback, and balances design quality with timely delivery. You will deliver polished, practical designs that support our DTC team’s goals, meet agreed timelines, and use measured outcomes to guide improvements.

Portfolio Required: To be considered for this opportunity, please include a link to an existing portfolio with relevant ecommerce work. Brief context on your contribution is helpful. Measured results are welcome where available.

This is a fully remote position with occasional travel to our New York offices.

What you will do

  • Design and improve ecommerce journeys across navigation, search, collection and product pages, landing pages, cart, and checkout, with attention to related customer touchpoints as priorities evolve.
  • Translate functional inputs into user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and polished responsive designs. Explain the evidence, alternatives, and tradeoffs behind your recommendations.
  • Investigate customer friction using analytics, session recordings, customer feedback, competitive research, and relevant UX practices. Use findings to improve clarity, purchase confidence, and repeat engagement.
  • Prototype quickly, iterate with the team, and recommend CRO hypotheses and test variations. Partner on measurement and use results to refine future designs.
  • Build and maintain reusable Figma components, an asset library, and practical design guidance that support consistency across brands and countries.
  • Design interaction states and edge cases, with an understanding of accessibility and the needs of customers using different devices.
  • Partner with development early to understand implementation constraints. Provide clear specifications, review implemented work, and resolve design issues.
  • Balance customer needs, revenue opportunities, brand standards, technical constraints, and efficient delivery. Manage design work against agreed priorities.

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of relevant UX/UI or product design experience, including meaningful ecommerce work. Comparable depth of experience is welcome.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A portfolio of implemented ecommerce work showing strong visual design, customer problem solving, and your contribution to the outcome.
  • Strong Figma skills, including components, responsive layouts, interactive prototypes, and developer handoff.
  • Ability to research a problem, produce a practical recommendation, and clearly explain the reasoning behind it.
  • Experience using analytics and customer insight tools such as GA4, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity to guide design, plus practical knowledge of CRO, A/B testing, and iterative improvement.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and how storefront themes, apps, and platform constraints affect the customer experience.
  • Responsive design skills, an understanding of accessibility, and attention to the interaction details that make digital experiences clear and usable.
  • Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with developers, brand teams, and business leaders.
  • Experience using tools and workflows to improve design and analysis efficiency while maintaining accuracy, quality, and brand standards.

Experience we would value

  • DTC consumer products, international ecommerce, multiple brands, reusable design systems, Shopify Plus, and search, merchandising, cart, or recommendation platforms.
  • We value experience balancing customer advocacy, brand consistency, growth, and practical business goals.

How you will work

  • You are analytical, resourceful, and comfortable doing the work behind a recommendation. You can move from a quick discussion to focused design work and return with concrete deliverables.
  • You explain alternatives respectfully, incorporate feedback, and execute agreed brand and leadership direction.
  • You view continuous improvement as part of the job. You stay involved after handoff, help validate the implemented experience, and use what you learn to recommend the next improvement.
