BSA Group team

A team of 21, our staff work remotely, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised team player to support the work of the BSA Group and strengthen our customer-focused, business-minded, dynamic, ambitious team. 

This role is remote so can be located anywhere in the UK provided the post holder is willing to travel for meetings, conferences or to see customers, as required and has the right to work in the UK. Out-of-hours work will be required from time to time.

Working at BSA Group

Our team enjoys flexible working, 25 days (FTE) holiday per year plus bank holidays, three days at Christmas and a birthday day off, 10% employer pension contribution and private healthcare. 

A competitive salary of £26,000 per annum. This is a fixed term, maternity cover from February 2026 to March 2027.

Interviews will be held online week commencing 12th January 2026, with a proposed start date of 16th February 2026.

Job description

Post: Finance and Administration Executive

Responsible to: Head of Corporate Services

The role

Data Tracking & Reporting

• Maintain and update internal trackers to ensure accurate monitoring of activity and performance metrics.

• Manage and develop AZTEC trackers, including formulas, figures, and reporting outputs.

• Produce and distribute daily and weekly performance numbers.

Financial Systems & Coding

• Create and manage Xero accounting codes to support accurate financial categorisation.

• Assist with RDG (Revenue Development Group) submissions and reporting.

• Invoicing support across the group. 

• Bank reconciliation.

Budget & Financial Management

• Support ongoing budget monitoring and reconciliation, ensuring financial performance aligns with organisational budget.

• Identify variances and provide insights or recommendations to association directors. 

Analysis & Compliance

• Conduct CPD (Continuous Professional Development) analysis.

• Manage debt-related processes, specifically Step 2 activities, ensuring timely and accurate follow-through.

• Provide support for the delivery of any BSA Group services and as requested by the CEO and DCEO/COO as required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The post holder will demonstrate:

• Experience of preparing and managing budgets.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Familiarity with office software systems and an ability to use technology.

• Ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision.

The Heath in Education Association (HIEDA) launched in July 2021 and has 200 members with a mission is to champion health in education excellence. Hieda provides training and education on a wide variety of medical issues, delivered by healthcare professionals who are experts in their field.

IELA: The Inclusion and Equity Leadership Association

The Inclusion and Equity Leadership Association (IELA) was launched in September 2024 as a professional association for schools, organisations and staff committed to inclusion and equity. IELA supports excellence in equity and inclusion work by actively advocating for change through training, resources, networking and consultancy.

SACPA: Safeguarding and Child Protection Association 

The Safeguarding and Child Protection Association (SACPA) champions excellence in safeguarding and child protection and has 480 members in 29 countries. Sacpa is the voice of safeguarding, providing a channel to government and other key agencies. The association represents organisations, associations, agencies and individuals involved in safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults in the UK and overseas. The association formally launched in January 2020.

The Institute of Boarding (TIOB) was launched in June 2022 as the world’s first professional association for boarding school staff. TIOB currently has 200 members, and its mission is to ‘support excellence for professional boarding staff’.
