Senior IT Project Manager

Role Description

We are hiring a Senior IT Project Manager with strong expertise in PMO operations and a proven record of delivering at least five end-to-end IT projects. This role requires leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to deliver complex projects within scope, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full project life cycle from initiation through closure, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives.
• Enforce PMO standards, governance, and reporting practices.
• Manage project scope, budget, timelines, risks, and resources across multiple initiatives.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders across functions and geographies.
• Apply Agile methodologies and adapt delivery models to suit project needs.
• Mentor junior project managers and support project team performance.
• Ensure compliance with documentation and quality requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years in IT project management with 5+ full life cycle deliveries.
• Strong PMO operations background.
• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP or equivalent).
• EU residents.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• German language proficiency is a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualification

• PMP certification or equivalent credential.
• Experience in large-scale digital transformation or multi-country IT implementations.
• Background in enterprise IT environments (ERP, CRM, cloud, infrastructure, software development).

Key Skills

•  Change Management-leading stakeholders and teams through organizational and process changes.
•  Vendor and Contract Management - managing third-party suppliers, outsourcing agreements, and SLAs.
•  Financial Management – strong budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting for complex programs.
• Risk and Compliance – proactive risk identification and mitigation, with knowledge of EU regulations (e.g., GDPR, security standards).
• Tools Proficiency – advanced use of project management and collaboration platforms; Wrike is preferred, with knowledge of MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or Power BI.
• Cross-Cultural Leadership – managing distributed, multicultural teams across multiple EU countries.
• Stakeholder Influence and Negotiation – aligning and influencing senior stakeholders to secure commitment.
