HR Operations Manager (EU) - Remote - Full-timeAbout the role:We are looking for a proactive HR Operations Manager to build a top-tier People Operations system. You will promote operational excellence by standardizing processes across multiple countries, managing accurate, timely payroll and benefits with international vendors, and preparing contracts and policies for growth. You will also introduce and implement programs that minimize risk and enable our team to perform at its best.

- Ensure compliance with labor laws and employment regulations in the European Union
- Oversee all HR processes, including seamless onboarding of new hires and efficient offboarding of departing employees.
- Draft, review, and maintain employment contracts and HR records in accordance with local legal requirements.
- Manage payroll processes across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local tax and labor regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace matters in various countries.
- Maintain accurate employee data, implement and manage HR systems, and support process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with international consultants and partners to align HR policies and procedures with both company standards and regional regulations.
- Support expansion across the EU through a network of Employer of Record (EOR) and similar flexible hiring solutions.
What you need:
- 4+ years in startup operations or people roles; ideally built the function from zero to one across EU jurisdictions
- Strong working knowledge of EU labor legislation
- Proven track record of developing and implementing HR systems, policies, and processes
- End-to-end project ownership: scope, plan, coordinate, and deliver cross-functional initiatives
- Startup-ready operator: organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and focused on creating a do-your-best-work culture
- Proficient in Google Workspace for day-to-day operations
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
- Fluent in English
