Copy‑led hybrid role: write email, social, and ad copy for US brands, plus help build and schedule campaigns.Salary: 54k/yearAbout Pillar Marketing
Pillar Marketing is a results‑driven agency that helps modern brands grow through thoughtful strategy, standout creative, and performance‑focused campaigns. We work primarily with US‑based, English‑speaking brands across email, paid social, and organic social. We’re looking for a Copywriter & Marketing Coordinator who loves writing and wants to have a direct impact on client results.
Role Overview
This is a copy‑first role. You’ll spend most of your time writing and editing: email campaigns, social captions, and paid social ad copy. The rest of your time will be spent helping build and schedule campaigns, manage basic reporting, and keep our content engine running smoothly. If you’re a strong writer who enjoys switching between brand voices and also likes being close to execution, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Copywriting & Creative (Primary Focus)
- Write clear, compelling copy for email campaigns (newsletters, promos, flows/automations).
- Draft engaging captions and short‑form content for social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Create and iterate on paid social ad copy (hooks, headlines, primary text) for testing.
- Adapt tone and voice across multiple brands and audiences while staying on brief.
- Support pitch decks and client presentations with concise, on‑brand copy as needed.
- Marketing Coordination & Execution (Secondary)
- Build and schedule email campaigns in tools like Klaviyo or Mailchimp.
- Help plan and maintain social content calendars, and schedule posts using tools such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or similar.
- Monitor and engage with communities by replying to comments and DMs in a timely, on‑brand way.
- Pull basic performance metrics (opens, clicks, CTR, engagement) and assist with simple reports.
- Stay on top of trends and competitor activity to inform new content and campaign ideas.
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
- You’re owning first drafts of most recurring copy for assigned brands (emails, social posts, basic paid social ads).
- The CMO is spending less time writing from scratch and more time on strategy and client growth.
- You’re confidently building/scheduling campaigns and keeping content calendars on track.
About You
1–3 years of experience in copywriting, content, email marketing, and/or social media (agency, in‑house, freelance, and internships all count).
Strong writer with samples that show you can:
- Write clearly and concisely.
- Shift tone between different brand voices.
- Craft short, punchy copy (subject lines, captions, ad hooks).
Familiarity with email platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.) and social scheduling tools is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right writer on the tools.
- Comfortable reading basic performance data and using results to inform future content.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote environment.
- US‑based, with native‑level English writing ability and a strong feel for US culture, slang, and trends.
Nice to Have
- Experience in lifestyle, CPG, cannabis/hemp, or adjacent categories.
- Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite) for light asset tweaks.
How to ApplyPlease share:
- Your resume
- 3–5 writing samples (email, social, or ad copy preferred).
- A brief note on your favorite brand voice and why you think it works.
