Position: New Business Sales Executive – Ireland Summary: This position is primarily responsible for the market development and customer growth of our POPCAKE COMMERCIAL & ASHWOOD’S in Ireland. This will be achieved through a combination of sales prospecting, cold calling & customer presentations along with placement and commissioning our proprietary equipment in select market verticals. The remote based position will report to the Managing Director of Peachtree Foods UK & Ireland and the Head of Sales UK & Ireland, both based in England. The position would suit a business hunter, someone who enjoys prospecting new customers and managing the sales process from start to finish. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated successes in complex selling situations, strategic & conceptual selling, as well as negotiating and closing new business deals at all levels. Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Researching and identifying new business opportunities, developing individual target accounts & group accounts establishing initial customer contacts, delivering over-the-phone and in-person presentations with all key decision makers (General managers, Executive chefs, F&B executives, Purchasing managers & Head of Brands)
- Develop & build the sales pipeline, process inbound sales prospects and lead outbound cold calling
- Closing the sale and placement of Free-on-loan equipment (Popcake Commercial pancake machines, warmer turntables, Ashwood’s condiment dispensers), consult & educate chefs and F&B operators how best to present and use our products.
- Achieve & exceed quarterly results in line with the Company’s sales targets
- Market Analysis and Business Intelligence: Conduct market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes, using insights for strategic decision-making
- Prepare monthly sales updates for Head of Sales to review
- Maintain leads, current deals, customer data and record all contact activity in the Company’s CRM and SharePoint
- Networking within the Hotel, Hospitality, Foodservice (F&B) industries proactively using LinkedIn and other business networking platforms to grow a professional profile, development relationships and sales prospects
- Assist Managing Director & Head of Sales with budgeting, forecasting, and managing resources to ensure financial health and sustainability
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of local operational aspects, including supply chain, inventory control and logistics management
- Customers Service: In conjunction with the UK based Customer Service team conduct full equipment training, handle customer queries, concerns, and maintenance call outs promptly and effectively if necessary
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks to safeguard the organisation's interests
- Problem Solving: Provide leadership in crisis situations, ensuring quick and effective resolution of problems
Experience/Skills:
- 2+ years sales or business development experience. Relevant industry sales experience such as (Foodservice, hospitality or F&B) will be an advantage
- Proven sales experience with a demonstrable track-record of success
- Strong phone presence and willingness to proactively cold call qualified leads
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise your time efficiently & effectively and work largely unsupervised
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 & Proficiency with web-based presentation tools
- Experience working with CRM platforms (Zoho or similar)
Compensation:
- €40,000 base salary, with opportunity to earn and additionl €8,000 (through performance bonus)
- Mileage and expenses paid
- Twenty (20) days paid annual leave, plus all public / bank holidays
Other:
- This role is an “individual contributor” position and will require a self-motivated self-starting candidate who can work remotely and responsibly in an unsupervised environment.
- The ability to travel overnight for strategically important out of area sales calls or follow-up on existing accounts if needed
- Will be required to have valid driver license and own vehicle
- There is physcial element to this role which will require the abilty to regularly move equipment weighing approx. 30kg.
- The company will provide a laptop computer and dedicated company mobile phone.
