Role Description The Vice-President of Operational Excellence is a full-time, remote role responsible for driving end-to-end performance across manufacturing, operations, and the supply chain. This role leads the design and implementation of operational excellence frameworks, including continuous improvement initiatives, standardization of processes, and performance measurement systems. The individual will partner with cross-functional leaders to align operations strategy with business objectives, optimize resource utilization, and improve quality, delivery, and cost outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing operational data, identifying improvement opportunities, overseeing implementation of best practices, mentoring operations teams, and reporting on key metrics to executive leadership. The role also involves establishing governance for major transformation projects, ensuring compliance with operational policies, and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Manufacturing Operations and Manufacturing Operations Management, with a track record of improving productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Demonstrated leadership in Operational Excellence and Operations Management, including continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain Management, including demand planning, sourcing, logistics, and inventory optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead remote and distributed teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and drive change at scale.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills; proficiency with operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex operational concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in large-scale transformation initiatives or enterprise-wide process improvement programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) are beneficial.
