This role is designed for someone who can contribute consistently with a light but high-leverage time commitment, helping IEMA convene the right voices to shape education outcomes for millions of learners worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end co-ordination of virtual events, including scheduling, speaker logistics, agendas, and run-of-show planning.
  • Liaise with speakers, partners, and internal stakeholders to confirm attendance, briefing notes, and event requirements.
  • Co-ordinate event operations on the day, including platform management, timekeeping, Q&A flow, and post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain simple event trackers and documentation (timelines, guest lists, speaker packs, and feedback notes).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing learning, insights, and recommendations after each event.

Candidate Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in event co-ordination, programme support, stakeholder engagement, or administrative/project support roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, timelines, and professional communication.
  • Comfortable using remote collaboration and event tools (Zoom/Teams, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, calendars).
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Demonstrated interest in education, policy dialogue, research, and innovation initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be based in the UK and legally authorized to volunteer in the UK.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Why Join IEMA

  • Help convene policy and innovation conversations that influence the future of education globally.
  • Work directly with senior leaders, researchers, and partners shaping real-world education solutions.
  • Build visibility and credibility through meaningful contribution to global education initiatives.
  • Make a measurable impact with a time-light role that supports high-impact outcomes.

Time Commitment

Approx. 1-2 hours per month, with occasional flexibility around event dates.
