Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions and improve operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities through data analysis.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with business, finance, marketing, product, and operations teams.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Automate recurring reports and improve data reporting processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Maintain documentation for analytical processes, reports, and datasets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or other BI platforms.
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation.
• Understanding of statistics, data modelling, and data-cleaning techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ETL processes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of predictive analytics or machine learning.
• Experience in SaaS, fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, or technology.
• Experience working with distributed or international teams.
