You’ll work across product + platform: shipping features, strengthening APIs and integrations, improving reliability/observability, and tightening our cloud-native deployment practices.What you’ll do

• Build, test, and deploy backend + frontend features
• Design and maintain APIs + integrations (e.g., CRM, identity/KYC, payments)
• Design and implement AI Agents related to customer requirements
• Improve reliability: monitoring, alerting, logging, incident response
• Contribute to CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure-as-code
• Write strong runbooks and internal documentation
• Collaborate async via GitHub + peer review (light on meetings, heavy on clarity)

Required

• 3-5+ years software engineering (or equivalent demonstrated capability) with relevant platforms such as Twilio, Telerivet, Sinch, Africa's Talking
• Strong in one or more of: TypeScript/Node.js, Python, Go
• Solid API + testing practices; comfort operating what you build
• Familiarity with Google Cloud and relational databases (Postgres or similar)
• Remote/async experience (GitHub, Jira or similar, Slack)
• Twilio / WhatsApp / messaging or IVR experience
• Terraform + Kubernetes
• Observability tooling (Google Stack)
• Practical use of AI tools (Gemini/ChatGPT/Perplexity/Claude)
• English fluency

Working arrangement

• Remote
• 0.75 FTE (approx. 3 days/week, or equivalent spread) 6 month renewable contract
• Preference for Europe/Africa time-zone overlap (not required)
