Job Description

Posted on: September 12, 2026

Hexaware Technologies is a global technology and business process services company.

With 50 offices in 19 countries, we empower enterprises worldwide to realize digital transformation at scale and speed by partnering with them to build, transform, run and optimize their technology and business processes.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Visualization Engineer to join our nearshore delivery team based in Poland. In this role, you will design, build, and refine Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs that bring data to life for business users.

Working under the guidance of the Data Visualisation Lead, you will convert reporting requirements and certified datasets into usable, tested, and business-ready Power BI solutions. You will apply data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualisation techniques to ensure every report is accurate, performant, and intuitive.

This is a fully remote position, with the successful candidate based in Poland and collaborating with international teams and stakeholders.

Experience Required : 4–7 years

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions aligned to business requirements.
  • Develop robust data models, including table relationships, star schemas, cardinality, and cross-filter behaviour.
  • Write efficient, well-structured DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables.
  • Build and optimise Power Query (M) transformations for data extraction, cleansing, and shaping.
  • Work with certified datasets and semantic models, ensuring correct usage and reusability.

Report Design & Visualisation

  • Create clear, engaging report pages with thoughtful layouts, themes, and visual hierarchies.
  • Implement interactive functionality including filters, slicers, drilldowns, drillthrough, bookmarks, and tooltips.
  • Apply data visualisation best practices — appropriate chart selection, colour usage, accessibility, and user experience design.
  • Apply data manipulation and statistical analysis techniques to surface meaningful insights and trends.

Performance & Quality

  • Performance-tune Power BI reports and datasets using tools such as Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, and Tabular Editor.
  • Reduce model size, optimise refresh performance, and improve query response times.
  • Ensure reports are fully tested, validated, and meet defined acceptance criteria before release.
  • Maintain documentation including data dictionaries, measure logic, and user guides.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with the Data Visualisation Lead to prioritise, scope, and deliver reporting work.
  • Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and refine outputs.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement of reporting standards.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide post-release support and enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–7 years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting.
  • Strong hands-on Power BI development experience across reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
  • Expert-level DAX (measures, calculated columns/tables, time intelligence, variables).
  • Solid Power Query (M) skills for ETL-style data preparation.
  • Proven data modelling skills — relationships, cardinality, filter propagation, star schema design.
  • Experience with report interactivity: filters, slicers, drilldowns, drillthrough, bookmarks.
  • Demonstrated performance tuning capability (DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Performance Analyzer, aggregations, incremental refresh).
  • Data visualisation skills including applying data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualisation techniques.
  • Experience converting business requirements into production-ready reporting solutions.
  • Familiarity with Power BI Service — workspaces, apps, row-level security (RLS), deployment pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certification: PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or equivalent (e.g., retired DA-100).
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Dataflows Gen2, Direct Lake).
  • Exposure to Azure data services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data.
  • Experience with version control and BI lifecycle management (Git, ALM Toolkit, DevOps pipelines).
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools or concepts (regression, forecasting, distributions).
  • Experience working in nearshore/distributed delivery models.

Working Model

  • Fully remote role — work from anywhere within Poland.
  • Nearshore delivery — integrated collaboration with international clients and teams.
  • Base location: Poland — candidates must reside in Poland or be eligible to work there (Polish employment contract or B2B, depending on preference).
  • Occasional travel may be required for workshops, kick-offs, or team events.
