Medical Copywriter

Flora is an early-stage education technology company reimagining how girls learn about their bodies. Our mission is to empower preteens with knowledge and confidence as they navigate puberty, menstruation, and emotional development. Through our interactive app, educational booklets, and parent resources, Flora provides evidence-based, age-appropriate information designed to make health education approachable, inclusive, and modern. We are currently headquartered in Minneapolis, MN and work entirely remotely.

What You’ll Work On:

• Research, write, and edit medical content for Flora’s app, booklets, and educational materials
• Develop lesson-style content that simplifies complex topics for 8–14-year-old learners
• Ensure all information aligns with current clinical guidelines and health literacy best practices
• Collaborate with Flora’s founders, designers, and educators to align content tone and structure with brand goals
• Advise on medical accuracy, terminology, and sensitive topic framing (e.g., menstruation, hormonal changes, body image, emotional regulation)
• Contribute to the creation of supporting materials for parents, educators, and caregivers

You are:

• Passionate about improving access to health education and empowering young learners
• Eager to join a growing community and company in the early stages of development

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD, DO, NP, PA, RN) or advanced degree (PhD, MPH, MS) in a related field such as pediatrics, OB-GYN, adolescent medicine, or women’s health research
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Flora is currently hiring U.S.-based candidates only

This is a remote contracted position, with the future hire to be expected to work on average 2-5 hours a week, with the occasional 10 hour week for events, product launches, or beta testing.
