A publicly listed, highly acquisitive digital entertainment platform is looking to build out its Corporate Development capability with the addition of a Corporate Development / M&A Analyst.
The role will sit within the M&A function, supporting a predominantly buy-side acquisition strategy. Initially, the focus will be on the technical and analytical workload across transactions, with the opportunity to develop into a broader Corporate Development role covering deal execution, target assessment and wider strategic initiatives.
This is a strong opportunity for a junior Investment Banker or M&A professional looking to make the move in-house and gain broader exposure across the acquisition lifecycle.
The Role
- Support the execution of buy-side M&A transactions from initial assessment through to completion
- Build financial models, valuation analyses and acquisition cases
- Conduct financial, commercial and strategic analysis of potential targets
- Support financial, commercial, legal and operational due diligence
- Prepare investment materials and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Support target identification, market mapping and acquisition pipeline development
- Work alongside internal stakeholders and external advisers throughout transactions
- Participate in target and management meetings as experience develops
- Support broader Corporate Development and strategic initiatives across the group
Candidate Profile
- 2-4 years' relevant transactional experience, ideally within Investment Banking / M&A
- Strong candidates from Corporate Finance or Transaction Services / FDD backgrounds will also be considered
- Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities
- Experience supporting M&A transactions and due diligence processes
- Strong financial, analytical and commercial skillset
- Ability to understand both the technical detail and strategic rationale behind acquisitions
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders
- Genuine interest in the digital entertainment platform
