Description EzLicence is Australia’s largest marketplace for booking driving lessons. Launched in 2018, our platform enables learners to find, compare and book driving instructors online, and provides an end-to-end solution for over 1500 active driving instructors to manage and grow their businesses. We're a proud South Australian success story, facilitating over 30,000 bookings per month. In Australia, we are now 13 times larger than our biggest competitor and expanded to the United Kingdom in late 2023 - but we’re only getting started. We are now seeking a Product & Marketplace data analyst to be a key member of our team as we continue to grow within Australia and the UK. About The Role As a Data Analyst, Product & Marketplace, you'll sit at the intersection of strategy, product, and commercial delivery. Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Market teams, your mission is to turn data into actionable insights that drive product roadmap priorities and translate user feedback and behaviour into product improvements. This is a remote-first role, ideally suited to candidates based on the East Coast or in South Australia, with annual in-person team events. The key responsibilities span across three areas Product Analysis and Reporting, Product Management, and Project Management, and include:

  • Analyse and interpret product performance and user behaviour data to inform business and product strategy
  • Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor KPIs across customer experience, growth, and operational efficiency
  • Identify trends, insights, and performance gaps to help guide the product roadmap and prioritisation of new features or changes
  • Translate business problems into structured analysis and work with Product and Engineering to deliver data-informed solutions
  • Support strategic projects, including new market entry (e.g. UK expansion), and instructor onboarding optimisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Finance, CX, Marketing, Engineering) to align metrics, reporting, and performance outcomes
  • Document and communicate findings in a clear, structured way to stakeholders, including executive summaries and recommendation decks
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and operational improvements using robust commercial and user insights
  • Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario modelling in partnership with Finance
  • Support vendor and platform performance reviews, particularly offshore support and service partners
  • Ensure data integrity and quality, working with data providers and engineering teams to improve visibility and tracking

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a business that is disrupting the industry and empowering driving instructors to create a more sustainable and efficient business. About You We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Being hands-on with tactical details while also thinking strategically.
  • Thriving in a small, dynamic, cross-functional team environment dedicated to growth, execution and professionalism.
  • Embracing a growth mindset and being open to continuous change, achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Experience in marketplace, or a related industry (preferred).
  • Proven ability to analyse data and extract actionable insights.
  • Proven experience managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with both strategic and tactical thinking.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Product Delivery, Business Analysis, or Operations role.
  • Strong experience in documenting requirements, developing functional specifications, and preparing commercial/product performance reports.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets, including data modelling, advanced formulas, and visualisation.
  • Proficient with business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
  • Solid grasp of IT and systems concepts — including software development lifecycle, APIs, data architecture, and systems integration.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and database management principles.
