Data Scientist | Remote

Position: Applied Data Scientist

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $75–$100/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Translate business questions into well-defined data science problems and analytical workflows.
• Perform data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and hypothesis testing on complex datasets.
• Build statistical models and predictive tools to support data-driven decision-making.
• Create clear, compelling data visualizations and dashboards for business stakeholders.
• Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Strong years of applied data science or analytics experience in business environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R (e.g., pandas, NumPy, Jupyter) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, experimentation, and A/B testing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical analysis into strategic insights.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment.
