Our client is looking for a UAT Testing Lead who will be responsible for design and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements. This role will execute user acceptance tests to validate that the system meets user needs and expectations. Identify, document, and track defects, resolving them before release.
--Experience in Affinity payroll system or other payroll system preferred—Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning: Defining UAT scope, objectives, and clear acceptance criteria in collaboration with stakeholders, and creating test scenarios based on user requirements
- Test Case Preparation: Developing detailed test cases, scripts, and tests that reflect real-world scenarios
- Test Execution: Executing test cases personally to validate functionality, and guiding end users through test execution where appropriate, ensuring they understand the expected outcomes and how to report issues
- Issue Reporting: Documenting and reporting defects or discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes
- Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving reported issues, followed by retesting to ensure fixes are successful
- User Verification: Support end users to validate that reported issues have been resolved and retest critical functionalities
- Sign-Off and Approval: Support end users to formally approve the configuration if it meets acceptance criteria
- Documentation: Compiling test results, feedback, and approvals for future reference and compliance
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with business users, project managers, and technical teams to ensure alignment between requirements and delivered functionality
- Payroll Domain Expertise: Applying knowledge of payroll legislation, award interpretation, and enterprise agreements to validate compliance and ensure correct system configuration
- System Integration Testing: Supporting the testing of integrations between payroll and related systems (e.g., time & attendance, HRIS, finance systems)
Key Skills Required:
- Experience in Test strategy
- Experience in Affinity payroll system preferred.
- Ability to write test documentation such as test plans, scripts, and reports.
- Experience in working within a payroll implementation projects
- Experience in supporting the testing of integrations between payroll and related systems (e.g., time & attendance, HRIS, finance systems
- Experience and knowledge of payroll legislation, award interpretation, and enterprise agreements to validate compliance and ensure correct system configuration
- Strong technical skills and abilities
- Knowledge of software development life cycle
- Skilled at testing process and methodologies.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
