Director of Finance – Telehealth Start-Up (Subscription Model)

A high-growth, subscription-based telehealth company is seeking a Director of Finance to build and own the financial backbone of the business. This role will partner closely with the founders, provide board-level insights, and help scale finance operations through the company’s next phase of growth.

**This is a fully remote role. (**Candidates preferably located on the East Coast to align with business hours and time zone coverage.)

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end financial forecasting, budgeting, and modeling, including a multi-product, driver-based subscription model
• Lead cash forecasting and liquidity planning, including a rolling 13-week cash flow model, scenario analysis, and debt draw planning
• Deliver board-quality reporting and KPI dashboards, tracking metrics such as CAC, churn, cohort performance, LTV/CAC, and payback periods
• Manage monthly reforecasts, weekly cash reporting, and long-range planning
• Oversee outsourced accounting (Propeller Group), with the opportunity to transition accounting in-house over time
• Support founders with fundraising diligence, ad-hoc analysis, and investor reporting materials
• Build scalable finance processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure as the company grows

• QuickBooks (general ledger and data extraction)
• Gusto (payroll)
• Ramp (AP and corporate cards)
• Power BI or similar reporting tools

Requirements

• Experience in a subscription-based or recurring revenue business (telehealth or healthcare a plus)
• 7+ years of experience across budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and treasury/cash management
• Proven ability to build finance and accounting processes from the ground up
• Strong GAAP knowledge, including reconciliations and month-end close
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills; comfort working directly with QuickBooks, Ramp, and Gusto data
