Position: Human Resources Manager (Healthcare Services)

Location: Fully remote - but must currently reside in one these states; Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania or Tennessee.

The Impact You'll Make:

This is a hands-on position that will have a key role in shaping our culture and building on our talent strategy. As a confident and clear communicator, you will partner directly with leadership, serving as the cornerstone of our HR function. Your exceptional written and verbal skills will be critical as you own everything from policy administration and legal compliance, to benefits, and employee relations.

  • HR Operations: Manage and optimize established HR processes for policy administration, benefits, and payroll. Lead the development and implementation of new processes and policies to support business objectives.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure rigorous compliance by proactively managing all aspects of HR law, with specialized expertise in multi-state healthcare environments (FMLA, ADA, worker's comp, HIPAA, and clinical credentialing).
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of two HR Generalists, empowering them to deliver exceptional support.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to managers, guiding them through complex employee relations and organizational changes with empathy and expertise.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Drive cross-functional collaboration by serving as the key HR liaison to other departments, such as payroll, to ensure alignment.
  • Talent Strategy: Lead full-cycle recruitment, design competitive compensation programs, and drive our performance management cycle.

Your Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 5+ years of HR experience as a generalist working in a small to mid-sized organization; remote work environment and/or multi-state organization is preferred.
  • Must be well versed in current federal, state, and local laws and have direct experience with EEO, ACA, ADA, FMLA, WC, HIPAA, FLSA, OSHA, ADEA, unemployment insurance, etc.
  • Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated general business acumen with fluency in business terminology, corporate processes, and basic accounting principles.
  • Technology Experience: Advanced computer skills, including using Google Suite, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meet; MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook; HRIS/Payroll platforms (ADP or similar); Internet; Teams/Zoom, etc.; ability to learn new technologies quickly.
