The RoleWe are searching for a motivated and talented Finance and Admin Officer to join our team.This is a part-time position (25 hours per week, spread across 5 days), fully remote with occasional travel to our satellite office in Barnsley to meet with the team.
This is a unique and varied role that combines the day-to-day financial accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities of a Company Accountant. You will be a cornerstone of our operations, ensuring financial stability while providing the critical insights needed to drive our business forward.
Areas of Responsibility
- Managing day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping duties using Xero.
- Processing company payroll accurately and on time.
- Managing billing, accounts receivable, credit control, and accounts payable.
- Liaising with the Customer Service Team on debt recovery.
- General administrative tasks such as managing contract agreements, annual leave, sickness recording & expenses.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Balance sheet reconciliation and year-end support.
- Conducting month-end accounting procedures including accruals, prepayments, control account reconciliations, and depreciation.
- Ensuring the company’s financial control framework is fit for purpose and strictly adhered to.
- Liaising with external accountants for technical/tax advice and the preparation of year-end accounts.
- Collaborating with the wider business to produce detailed financial plans and forecasts.
Our Ideal CandidateQualifications & Experience
- AAT Qualified.
- A minimum of 2–5 years of post-qualification experience is desirable.
- Proven experience in both financial and management accounting roles is highly preferable.

- Highly numerate with excellent commercial acumen.
- A clear, confident communicator with strong listening, negotiation, and influencing skills.
