Job Summary
Bless Payments is looking for a dynamic and experienced Finance Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of our business and provide strategic financial insights to guide decision-making. This is a part-time role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
• Pricing: Ongoing pricing management of existing products and pricing of new products
• Budgeting, Planning, and Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives. Analyse trends and variances to provide actionable recommendations
• Reconciliation of Customer Transactions: Verify and reconcile customer transactions to ensure accuracy
• Journaling Revenue and Costs: Record revenue and expenses in accounting software, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly documented and categorized
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses. Present findings to management and Board
• Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards.
Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with a focus on remittance, currency exchange or international cards
• Experience working within start-ups or fast paced small business environments
• Familiarity with financial regulations specific to money service businesses
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong sense of data integrity
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• An agile and can-do mindset with an ability to manage competing priorities, constantly adapt in a fast-paced environment focused on growth without compromising on quality.
