Our Client is an Energy technology company and has and are seeking a Senior Project Manager for Business Improvements and the role is for a contract position of 6 months Outside IR35. Our client has 150-year legacy of innovation and will focus on energy transformation, new technologies, decarbonization and Innovative leading-edge technology.
Role:As a Senior Project Manager (Business Improvement) your role is to successfully implement improvements and you will be involved in Improvement initiatives which are key to continued business efficiency and competitiveness.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Manager you will drive and manage improvement initiatives within the Engineering and Product Development branch of the Compression Business. This includes managing the scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, maintaining client Energy’s competitive position. The role involves actively collaborating with global teams including; technical teams, supply chain, manufacturing, sales and marketing, engineering, senior management, and other stakeholders.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will work with the Compression leadership team to establish, launch, and deliver improvement projects.
- You will engage relevant stakeholders to identify project scope and clarify requirements, ensuring these elements are documented and team members have bought into the solution roadmap. You will initiate the project by setting clear targets and boundaries.
- You will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Resource Owners to create project plans, obtain resource commitments, and manage the project in line with the appropriate processes.
- You execute projects within the approved boundaries (e.g. Requirements Specification, functionality, target costs, project cost, time, quality, customer satisfaction) and lead the global cross-functional team towards the established goals.
- You balance the project scope through Change Management and manage risk by devising and planning suitable strategies for risk mitigation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills, highly motivated, and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Experience and proficiency with project management software (e.g. MS Project & Jira)
- Experience and knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies.
- Experience leading large cross-functional project teams.
- Strengths and experience developing, monitoring, and controlling project plans in an R&D or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of turbomachinery products and technology will be advantageous.
