About The Role The Human Resource Business Partner – West Coast (Remote) is a strategic HR leadership position responsible for supporting operations in Arkansas, California, and Mapleton, Illinois. This role involves providing expert HR guidance, coaching managers, and developing strategic people plans aligned with global HR and business objectives. The successful candidate will oversee talent management, employee engagement, succession planning, and change management initiatives to foster high-performing teams. This role requires building strong collaborative relationships with internal clients and HR teams, ensuring seamless HR support across multiple sites. The HR Business Partner will also be responsible for implementing staffing plans, supporting organizational change, and driving initiatives that promote growth, efficiency, and employee development. The position offers an excellent opportunity to influence HR strategies in a dynamic manufacturing environment while working remotely. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–7 years of HR management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Mergers & Acquisitions
- Extensive union and labor relations experience (5+ years)
- Multi-site HR experience highly preferred
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Willingness and ability to travel 25–30% to multiple sites
Responsibilities
- Provide HR leadership, consultation, and guidance to managers on all people-related matters
- Coach and support line managers in designing organizational structures and implementing change management strategies
- Develop and execute strategic people plans aligned with site and global HR strategies, focusing on talent management, performance, engagement, and succession planning
- Leverage global HR processes to ensure consistency and compliance across sites
- Establish and oversee staffing plans, collaborating with recruitment teams to meet organizational needs
- Support managers in implementing change initiatives that drive operational efficiency and growth
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and career development programs to enhance workforce motivation and retention
- Coordinate HR administrative functions, ensuring effective support for recruiting, total rewards, and other HR services
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal clients and HR colleagues to ensure seamless support
- Monitor HR effectiveness through key metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
