What You'll Do

• Design, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific rigor
• Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related disciplines to challenge and improve AI reasoning
• Develop complex, nuanced problem statements that push AI systems to think more accurately about the natural world
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts across leading research labs
• Ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity in every deliverable
• Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Hold a Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field
• Experienced with Python or R for research, data analysis, or modeling
• Deep subject matter expertise in climate modeling, ecology, or sustainability science
• Exceptionally strong written communicator — you can translate complex science into clear, rigorous prose
• Detail-oriented and methodical, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
• Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Background in scientific writing, peer review, or academic publishing
• Experience working across interdisciplinary teams or collaborative research environments
• Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts
