Our trusted partner - a regtech company is looking for a experienced Chief Accountant to take ownership of the company's accounting operations and support the business through its next stage of growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounting cycle and financial closing processes;
  • Prepare and submit VAT declarations and statutory reports;
  • Ensure compliance with Bulgarian accounting and tax regulations;
  • Manage internal payroll activities, including salary payments and related reporting;
  • Liaise with regulatory institutions, auditors, and external stakeholders;
  • Prepare management reports and financial analyses;
  • Support budgeting and financial planning processes;
  • Contribute to future international accounting activities and IFRS reporting.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a Chief Accountant;
  • Strong knowledge of Bulgarian accounting, tax legislation and IFRS;
  • Experience in an international, product, technology, or fast-growing company environment;
  • Experience with payroll administration and reporting;
  • Audit background would be considered a strong advantage;
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
