Company Description:

Acena Consulting (Acena) is a fast-growing, privately held professional services company that focuses on providing tax incentive calculation, documentation, and defense services to U.S. companies. We specialize in the U.S. research and development (R&D) tax credit. Our team consists of eight employees, including CPAs, engineers, technical writers, project managers, associates, and staff support. Acena’s culture and highly efficient process are considered keys to its success and can be characterized as open, dynamic, team-oriented, nonpolitical, and fun. Employees are referred to as team members and are enthusiastic, positive, resourceful, and supportive of each other.

Position Overview

This is a part-time, commission-based sales role with potential to grow into a full-time position based on performance. The ideal candidate will have strong existing relationships within the CPAs, business owners, and finance sectors, and a working knowledge of research and development and cost segregation tax incentives and credits. This position reports to Randy Eickhoff, Founder and Head Coach of Acena Consulting, LLC.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in sales, business development, or client relationship management.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; not required
  • Experience selling into CPA firms, accounting practices, or related financial services; required.
  • Understanding of R&D tax incentives, credits, and related services; required.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to leverage existing professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through CPA firms and referral networks as well as directly with potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships, leveraging existing networks in R&D and tax incentive spaces.
  • Communicate the value of Acena’s services clearly and effectively to prospective clients.
  • Represent Acena with professionalism using provided business materials, including an Acena business card.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and opportunities are maximized.

Compensation & Structure:

  • Commission-based role
  • Part-time with flexible schedule.

Opportunity for transition to full-time based on performance and results.
