The Opportunity
This newly created role involves managing internal IT systems, working with external providers, and ensuring accessibility, security, and effectiveness for a diverse, global team. As the sole IT specialist, you'll conduct audits, develop roadmaps, and handle procurement, all while supporting ADD's transformative strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with external IT providers.
- Ensure IT systems are functional, accessible, and secure.
- Provide training and support to users.
- Audit existing systems and create improvement plans.
- Negotiate with suppliers for cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to address IT needs.
- Implement IT security measures and policies, including for AI.
Safeguarding
This role is classified as Level 1, meaning no direct access to communities, with robust safeguarding policies in place to protect vulnerable groups.
Ideal Candidate
You should have:
- Experience in IT management, preferably in NGOs or charities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and accessibility features.
- Understanding of IT security for virtual, global teams.
- Passion for disability justice and commitment to power-sharing in development.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-cultural collaboration.
