The Lead Exposure Elimination Project (LEEP) is an evidence-based nonprofit dedicated to eradicating childhood lead poisoning worldwide. Founded in 2020, LEEP tackles major sources like lead-based paints and has expanded to initiatives in spices and cosmetics. With a proven impact in over 30 countries and support from donors like USAID and Open Philanthropy, LEEP is recognized for its cost-effective, scalable programs that drive significant public health improvements.
Position Overview
LEEP is seeking a Senior Manager (MENA Programs) to lead and expand high-impact initiatives across the Middle East and North Africa. This full-time remote role involves strategic oversight, team management, and collaboration with senior leadership. Preferred locations are in the MENA region or London (with some in-office work), and candidates must reside in UTC to UTC+4 time zones. Fluency in English is required, with Arabic or French proficiency strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Program Oversight (40%): Provide hands-on guidance to Program Managers, engage with government and industry stakeholders, and manage budgets for efficient resource allocation.
- Team Management and Leadership (40%): Lead a team of 3–5 Program Managers, foster a high-performance culture, and offer mentorship and professional development.
- Program Development and Systems Improvement (15%): Collaborate on refining internal systems and contributing to organizational knowledge sharing.
- Special Projects (5%): Take on cross-functional projects aligned with LEEP's strategic goals.
Ideal Candidate Profile
LEEP is looking for a motivated leader with:
- A strong commitment to eliminating childhood lead exposure.
- Proven experience in team management and driving results in impact-oriented settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Experience in low- and middle-income countries and willingness to travel 8–12 weeks annually.
- Fluency in English, with Arabic or French proficiency preferred.
