Remote jobs have surged in popularity since the COVID-19 pandemic, but is Georgia ready to embrace this shift?
A recent study by Apryse, a software company, evaluated the best and worst states for remote workers based on various criteria including download speeds, co-working space availability, and quality of life factors such as cost of living and crime rates.
Georgia's Performance
Georgia secured the 19th overall ranking with notable strengths:
- 12th most co-working spaces: 1 per 100,000 people
- 14th best download speeds: 172.92 mbps
- 16th best in share of remote workers: 16.3%
However, it also faced challenges:
- 3rd worst in number of parks: 14.05 per 100,000
- 4th worst annual work-from-home salary: $51,658
