About The Role
Reddit is seeking a highly experienced Staff Product Designer to lead the development of foundational experience architecture across its Presence initiatives. This strategic, systems-oriented role is ideal for a designer passionate about solving complex, cross-functional problems and shaping the future of user interaction on the platform. In this position, you will define UX strategies, create scalable frameworks, and develop reusable design patterns that ensure a cohesive and engaging user experience as Reddit expands into new areas such as identity, profiles, community representation, Reddit Pro, and other emerging products.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content designers, and senior leadership to influence product direction, advocate for accessibility and interaction excellence, and mentor design teams. Your work will directly impact how users express themselves, discover content, and engage with communities, helping Reddit maintain its position as an open, authentic, and innovative social platform.
Qualifications
- 8 to 10+ years of product design experience, including complex, cross-functional projects in consumer technology.
- Strong expertise in systems thinking and designing platform-level or reusable user experiences.
- Exceptional skills in interaction design, information architecture, and product strategy.
- Experience navigating ambiguity and balancing long-term vision with immediate execution.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align teams without direct authority.
- Excellent storytelling, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted design or coding tools for prototyping and idea exploration.
- A portfolio demonstrating senior-level thinking, craftsmanship, and impactful product or organizational contributions.
