We are partnering with a growing, private equity-backed company in the real estate investment industry to identify a Vice President of Finance. This is a fully remote opportunity, but is focused on candidates located in the Greater Nashville/Middle Tennessee area.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will lead the accounting and finance function, oversee sophisticated FP&A and investor reporting, and leverage AI and automation to improve financial processes. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership opportunity with direct exposure to private equity investors and the potential to grow into a CFO role.
- Own the monthly close, financial statements, accounting operations, and internal controls.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and 13-week cash flow projections.
- Prepare board presentations, investor reporting, lender reporting, and compliance certifications.
- Lead the annual financial audit and coordinate with external accounting and tax partners.
- Partner with executive leadership to analyze financial performance, sales KPIs, profitability, and growth opportunities.
- Maintain and improve automated financial reporting dashboards, leveraging AI and technology to streamline processes and enhance reporting.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including Controller, Director of Finance, or comparable leadership responsibilities.
- Experience in real estate investment, real estate private equity, or a related investment-focused business.
- Strong technical accounting background with hands-on ownership of the monthly close and financial statements.
- Advanced FP&A experience, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Experience preparing financial reporting and presentations for executive leadership, boards, or private equity investors.
- Demonstrated experience using AI and automation to develop, maintain, or improve financial reporting processes.
- Experience supporting financial audits, lender reporting, and financial compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of both strategic and day-to-day responsibilities within a lean organization.
- Experience working in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment.
- Experience with accounting systems, CRM platforms, AI-enabled reporting tools, and automated financial dashboards.
- Experience developing automated dashboards and integrating financial and operational data.
