Full Stack Engineer (MVP Development)

Role: Software & Tech Lead (Contract)Type: Remote, Contract (with potential for long-term)

A stealth-stage consumer fintech startup is hiring a contract Software & Tech Lead to deliver the MVP. The product sits at the intersection of eCommerce, finance, gamification, and rewards — with a focus on driving engagement and transactions through behavioral mechanics.

The role requires full-stack execution and technical ownership from day one. Ideal for someone who’s comfortable building and shipping fast, while keeping scalability and security in mind.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack architecture (front end, back end, database, infra)
• Set up and manage lightweight infrastructure
• Develop admin dashboards, and basic analytics tooling
• Build transactional logic, fraud detections, probabilistic gamification.
• Integrate third-party APIs ( Shopify, etc.)
• Optimize performance and reliability across the stack
• Troubleshoot and iterate quickly based on early usage

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack development
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Experience with Firebase/Supabase/PostgreSQL or similar back-end stacks
• Able to independently scope, build, and deliver product features
• Familiarity with secure transaction flows and API integrations
• Strong understanding of consumer-facing product development
• Proven experience building shopify app development or embedded commerce tools

Preferred Experience

• Building gamified products or reward-based user flows
• Background in consumer psychology or behavioral mechanics

Even Better

• Strong design expert, with a great eye for UX/UI.
