We're Hiring | Head of Operations | ROI BySupply
*This role is for ROI BySupply — ROI ByDesign's sister company, and the operational engine behind what we're scaling.
The multifamily renovation industry is broken — and we're the ones fixing it.
ROI BySupply is an investment-grade renovation materials company built specifically for commercial multifamily real estate operators and the general contractors who serve them — and we're on a clear path from $0 to $20MM in three years by solving a problem the industry has largely ignored.
Founded by Chelsea Strong — an active owner-operator of 500+ units and the founder of ROI ByDesign, a renovation strategy firm with 300+ communities remodeled nationwide — ROI BySupply is a system built from real operational experience, not theory. We source standardized unit interior kits (flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, door hardware, and cabinet hardware) direct from manufacturing partners and deliver them as a complete, pre-specified system to GCs renovating hundreds to thousands of units per year.
We're currently in active pilot with our first accounts — and we need the right operator to help us scale.
THE ROLE Title: Head of Operations Engagement: Fractional — 15–20 hrs/week Location: Fully Remote Full-Time: Opportunity available for the right person as we scale
COMPENSATION Hourly or monthly retainer. Full-time opportunity available for the right person as ROI BySupply scales toward $20MM — real upside, not a vague promise.
RIGHT NOW — First 90 Days
- Build the first procurement and ordering workflow — PO management, vendor communication, and delivery tracking end to end
- Create real-time visibility across all active orders, suppliers, and logistics
- Support active pilot execution — ensure our first accounts receive flawless fulfillment
- Document core SOPs for the top recurring operational processes
- Take day-to-day ops coordination off the Founder's plate — demonstrably and permanently
AS WE SCALE
- Build and maintain supplier scorecards and onboard backup vendors
- Establish carrier and 3PL relationships at volume
- Build dashboards and reporting infrastructure that scales with the business
- Feed procurement data into pricing and margin decisions
- Hire and develop ops support staff as volume scales
WHO YOU ARE
You have 5+ years in operations, supply chain, procurement, or logistics — ideally in a high-SKU, product-based business. You've built operational functions from scratch, not just maintained them. You've managed vendors at scale, and you can point to specific metrics you moved.
This is a builder role — not a maintainer role. ROI BySupply is early-stage, moving fast, and operating in real time. There is no playbook yet. You will write it. If ambiguity energizes you, if building from zero excites you more than inheriting a machine, and if you want your fingerprints on something that compounds — this is your role.

- Data fluency — you live in spreadsheets and build tracking natively
- Vendor negotiation — you create leverage without burning bridges
- Urgency with judgment — you move fast but don't break things
- Clear communicator — you translate operational complexity into crisp leadership updates
