Role Description The Senior Human Resources Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the full employee lifecycle and building scalable, people-centered HR practices. This position leads HR strategy and operations, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and employee relations. The role manages HR policies and procedures, ensures compliance with labor and employment regulations, and partners with leadership to support organizational design and workforce planning. The Senior Human Resources Manager will develop training and development initiatives, drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and foster a positive, mission-aligned culture across a distributed workforce. Day-to-day work includes advising managers on HR matters, handling sensitive issues with discretion, maintaining accurate HR records and systems, and continuously improving HR processes in support of Roarke Regenerative’s environmental mission.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in core HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and HR policy development.
  • Experience with talent acquisition and recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding for remote and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and HR-related tools, data management, and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Advanced communication, conflict resolution, and coaching skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to design and implement training, professional development, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Experience leading or supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives in a global or culturally diverse environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and scalable systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work setting, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology


Base salary: $240,000–$290,000, commensurate with experience, plus a competitive annual performance bonus
