Replicant is seeking a Director of Finance to help execute and scale our core financial process. This role will review and analyze key results for monthly forecasts and budgeting. This role will report to the VP of Finance with significant cross functional interactions with Executive Leadership Team members including accounting, sales, marketing, engineering and product. What You'll Do

  • Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Oversee company-wide forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning, including scenario modeling to support strategic decisions and fundraising readiness
  • Business Partnership & Strategy: Act as a strategic finance partner to executives and department leaders, providing insights and recommendations that drive growth, efficiency, and capital allocation decisions
  • Performance Management: Define and monitor key metrics (e.g., gross margin, LTV/CAC, cash runway, NRR) to measure and improve business performance; proactively identify risks and opportunities
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for leadership and the board; ensure high-quality, clear communication of financial results and key drivers
  • Systems & Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve financial systems, tools, and processes to enable better automation, scalability, and accuracy as the company grows
  • Build & Lead the Team: Hire, develop, and mentor a finance analyst or senior analyst (and future team members as needed) to support day-to-day FP&A activities and ad hoc analyses
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with GTM, R&D, and G&A teams to support resource allocation, investments, and operational decisions aligned to company strategy
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute financial perspective on major initiatives, such as new product launches, pricing strategies, M&A evaluations, and geographic expansion
  • Ad hoc Analysis: Provide timely, insightful analyses to support executive and board-level decision-making as needed

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA a plus
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with a strong foundation in FP&A and strategic finance; experience in a high-growth SaaS or AI company preferred
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, forecasting, and key SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, churn, NRR, CAC payback)
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial models and synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team, with a passion for developing talent
  • Proven success partnering cross-functionally and influencing at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfort with financial systems; experience implementing or optimizing FP&A tools a plus (e.g., NetSuite, Cube, Planful)
  • Strong communication skills - confident presenting to executives and board members
  • High degree of ownership, adaptability, and a growth mindset; you thrive in fast-changing environments
