About the Opportunity:

The Data Visualization Analyst role involves designing a central business "command center" by transforming BigQuery data into actionable Tableau dashboards that support executive decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Design intuitive, interactive Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights and track KPIs.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to translate business requirements into visual analytics solutions.
• Update, improve, and troubleshoot Tableau dashboards based on user feedback and business needs.
• Lead migration of legacy Google Sheets reports into Tableau; automate data pipelines and redesign static views into scalable tools.
• Analyze data from various sources using SQL to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies and create meaningful visualizations.
• Ensure data validation, perform data reconciliation between BigQuery and Tableau, and audit data using Excel.
• Optimize dashboard performance and scalability in collaboration with the Data Analytics Architect.
• Manage Tableau Cloud users, permissions, folder structures, and enable new features like Tableau Pulse.
• Implement process, data, and reporting improvements organization-wide.
• Provide end-user training and ongoing support to help stakeholders interpret visualizations.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of focused experience with Tableau and building complex dashboards.
• Proficiency with advanced Tableau techniques including LOD expressions, Parameter/Set Actions, and custom visualizations.
• Experience with data modeling in Tableau (joins and relationships) and SQL (joins).
• Proven track record delivering end-to-end dashboard solutions from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and database structures.
• Proficiency writing SQL queries.
• Expert Excel skills including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and SUMIFS.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to present a portfolio of previous Tableau work during interview.
Bonus Points If You Have:
• Experience in the SaaS industry.
• Skills optimizing Tableau performance for large BigQuery datasets, minimizing Custom SQL, managing extracts vs. live connections.
• Experience with Salesforce objects such as Opportunities/ARR forecasting, Leads, Support Cases.
• Familiarity with product events data.
• Tableau certifications.
• Experience with Tableau Pulse and AI tools like Gemini.
• Knowledge of Power BI or Looker.
What is Not Suitable:
• Pure Data Engineers or specialists in Machine Learning, Python, or R.
• Candidates with fewer than 3 years of dedicated Tableau experience.
