About The Role We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Sports Travel Manager to join our team and manage end‑to‑end travel arrangements for our sporting clients. This role requires deep industry experience, excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, deep competency in global travel booking systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with frequent last‑minute changes. The Senior Sports Travel Manager is responsible for managing complex individual and group travel arrangements for elite sporting teams, coaches, support staff, officials, and key partners. You’ll act as the trusted travel expert for major sporting organisations and will play a critical role in ensuring their travel experiences are smooth, efficient, and cost‑effective. This is a senior‑level operational role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys solving problems, delivering premium service, and managing intricate travel requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesSports Travel Booking & Coordination

• Manage domestic and international travel bookings including flights, accommodation, car hire, transfers, visas, and insurance for sporting teams, athletes, and staff.
• Oversee complex itineraries including flights, accommodation, transport, meals, and team logistics.
• Provide expert advice on routes, airline products, fare options, and travel requirements.
• Work closely with leading sporting brands, professional teams, and national bodies to understand and meet their travel requirements.
• Manage group bookings, ticketing, changes, and documentation using industry-standard travel systems.

Customer Service Excellence

• Deliver a high‑touch, client‑focused service experience.
• Handle last‑minute changes, disruptions, and urgent travel requests with calm, professional efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships with travellers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide proactive solutions for disruptions, schedule changes, and urgent travel needs.
• Maintain high levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and service excellence at all times.

Systems & Technical Expertise

• Use GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo) for reservations, changes, and ticketing.
• Operate corporate booking tools and CRM systems accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all bookings comply with corporate travel policies and best‑practice standards.

Travel Administration & Compliance

• Manage ticketing deadlines, fare rules, reissues, refunds, and credits.
• Provide accurate invoicing and documentation for each booking.
• Ensure compliance with duty‑of‑care, travel policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Supplier & Industry Knowledge

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of airline rules, hotel programs, and travel supplier offerings.
• Work with preferred suppliers to secure best available options and service levels.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a sport travel consultant/agent.
• Experience arranging international tours, training camps, or multi‑leg sporting itineraries. (desirable)
• Advanced GDS proficiency (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo essential).
• Strong understanding of airline fare structures, reissue processes, and ticketing rules.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex itineraries and high‑volume corporate travel.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong organisational discipline.
• Calm under pressure and capable of delivering solutions quickly.
• Knowledge of global travel requirements (visas, baggage, entry rules, etc.).

Note: Due to the nature of the sports travel industry, after-hours and weekend work are often required to assist clients and manage time-sensitive bookings. The Pay Range For This Role Is 80,000 - 90,000 AUD per year(Remote, Australia)
