Data Analyst Consultant

The team, position & mission:

As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming business needs into data-driven solutions that support decision-making across the organization. Working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and central data teams, you will analyze requirements, develop analytics solutions, and ensure that data models, dashboards, and reporting tools deliver meaningful business value.

In this position, you will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, facilitating discussions, translating requirements into analytical solutions, and supporting projects from initial scoping through development, testing, and implementation. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize data processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

Your key areas of responsibility as Data Analyst Consultant:

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into data and analytics solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical models using Power BI and related tools.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define priorities, and track actions.
• Develop and optimize data models, queries, and data structures using SQL, Python, and data modeling best practices.
• Support project planning, KPI definition, and the delivery of data initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Create and maintain documentation, presentations, and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with business, IT, DPO, and central data teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and successful project delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and accelerate data-related processes and reporting.

As an ideal candidate you have:

• Experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a similar data-focused role.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports with Power BI.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling concepts.
• Experience using Python for data analysis, automation, or reporting.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical or technical solutions and communicate effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and Spanish; French is considered a strong advantage.

It is not a requirement, but other preferred qualifications would be:

• Experience with Power Apps.
• Academic and/or professional experience in a biological, life sciences, or related domain.
• Knowledge of Agile project delivery methodologies and business process improvement initiatives.
