Job Summary:
Join our customer’s team as a Private Equity Associate, where you’ll play a pivotal role in analyzing M&A transactions, investment opportunities, and performing critical due diligence for high-impact deals. This remote, expert-level position offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals and provide strategic insights that drive investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence and analyze confidential information memoranda (CIMs/SIMs) and supporting deal documentation.
- Draft, review, and refine Investment Committee (IC) memos and Board Decks to support decision-making processes.
- Navigate complex public filings, financial statements, and dense transaction documents for thorough investment evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to monitor task progress and identify key errors.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in managing confidential and sensitive information throughout deal processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in private equity or a combination of private equity and investment banking (Associate or Analyst level only).
- Expertise in reviewing public filings, conducting M&A or financing transactions, and preparing CIMs/SIMs and due diligence materials.
- Strong proficiency with Investment Committee memos and Board Decks, including structuring and presenting complex information clearly.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft precise and compelling narrative for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to dig into long, dense deal documents and synthesize actionable insights.
- Unwavering attention to detail and a disciplined, organized approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent/native English proficiency, ideally with exposure to US, UK, or Canadian market dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct exposure to live M&A or complex financing transactions within a reputable PE firm.
- Experience in both private equity and investment banking environments.
- Familiarity with cross-border deals and sophisticated capital structures.
