Remote | 12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Up to £110,000 DOE + Group Benefits
Are you an experienced Tax Reporting specialist looking for a senior-level role where you can make an immediate impact within a complex, international organisation?
We are working with a major listed Financial Services group to appoint a Senior Tax Reporting Manager on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.
This is a high-profile role within an established Group Tax function, taking responsibility for key aspects of corporate tax reporting, tax accounting and compliance across a large and sophisticated business.
Given the specialist nature of the appointment, we are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who are immediately available or becoming available shortly, with a view to starting during September.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Tax Reporting, you will play a key role in ensuring the Group maintains robust tax reporting, governance and compliance while continuing to develop and improve its underlying processes.
This is not simply a compliance position. You will work closely with Finance, the wider Tax function, external advisers and senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing technical expertise and ensuring that complex tax reporting requirements are delivered accurately and effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of the Group's corporate tax reporting requirements as part of the wider financial reporting process.
- Providing tax accounting and technical reporting expertise for the preparation of Group financial statements.
- Overseeing corporate tax compliance activity and managing relationships with external providers.
- Supporting Group-level requirements including Pillar 2, Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR) and Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR).
- Maintaining effective tax risk, governance and controls.
- Producing and developing management information around the Group's tax profile and tax contribution.
- Reviewing and improving tax reporting processes, including the continued development and use of tax technology and data.
- Working collaboratively across Tax and Finance to ensure consistency, effective risk management and high-quality delivery.
- Challenging external providers where appropriate and identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and processes.
Who are we looking for?
This opportunity will suit an established Tax Reporting Manager or Senior Manager who can step into a complex environment and add value quickly.
Ideally, you will have:
- ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
- A strong UK corporate tax background.
- Significant experience of tax reporting and/or tax accounting within a large or complex organisation.
- Experience within financial services, or another large corporate group would be particularly advantageous.
- Exposure to international tax matters and Group reporting requirements.
- Strong understanding of corporate tax compliance and governance.
- Excellent analytical and data management skills.
- The confidence to question information, investigate inconsistencies and challenge appropriately.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with external advisers and outsourced providers.
- Exposure to finance transformation, tax technology or tax systems development would be advantageous.
Above all, you will be someone who can quickly understand a complex business, establish credibility with senior stakeholders and take ownership of key deliverables.
