A Data Engineer designs, develops, and maintains systems for efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval. Key duties include building data pipelines, managing databases, and ensuring reliable, scalable data architecture to deliver high-quality data for analytics and decision-making.

We are looking for a proactive analytics frontend developer with strong Power BI expertise. You will convert business data into actionable reports and visualizations and develop the frontend of our Data Analytics Platform using Azure Analytics and Power BI for dashboards, reports, and KPIs.

In this role, you will design data flows and identify new opportunities for data-driven insights. You should have strong technical skills, especially with Microsoft Azure and Power BI. You value efficient, maintainable solutions and enjoy collaborating with your team to achieve streamlined results.

Ideally, you have some data science experience or have collaborated with a team to supply meaningful data. You consistently overcome challenges, whether they're complex requirements or bugs. Above all, you’re passionate about data and coding data flows.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Design, implement, and optimize robust data pipelines to facilitate the efficient flow of data from diverse sources to storage systems.

• Design and implement data models that support analytical and reporting needs as well as ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.

• Construct and maintain ETL processes to transform raw data into usable formats for analysis, ensuring accuracy and timelines.

• Secure a sustainable architecture and evolution of the data platform, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and integration with various data sources and destinations.

• Work closely with product owners and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and producing actionable insights.

• Establish and maintain an analytics solution in a multi-tenant cloud environment.

• Data modelling for optimal query performance.

• Apply Power BI to model, develop, publish, support and improve business critical reports and visualizations.

• Further development, maintenance and improvements of the Power BI platform.

• As part of the team, be pro-active and suggest solutions for how to build/improve the platform.

• Tech-Savvy with good understanding of modern digital technologies and platforms.

• Knowledge in architectural principles for data analytics.

• Experience of Analytics platforms in various technical roles.

• Experience in data modelling.

• Experience in Microsoft Analytics technology stack in Azure.

• Experience in implementing Data Lake or Lake house and DW architecture.

• Experience in developing Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Data pipeline in Azure.

• Experience in delivering data flows for multiple social media data sources, streaming data, batch data, big data.

• Experience in supporting and maintaining an analytics platform solution.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Fluency in English – both oral and written.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
